About Short Mountain Cultures
Since 2016, Short Mountain Cultures has been serving Cannon County with fermented, organic, and whole food options from their manufacturing kitchen and grocery store shelves! They are located at on the side of The Arts Center of Cannon County facing John Bragg Hwy.
Short Mountain Cultures makes many varieties of sauerkraut, kimchi, kvass (fermented, probiotic/nutrient rich beverage), tempeh(a plant based, whole food, protein), and hot sauce. They source produce and products from trusted Middle Tennessee farms and producers which are part of the Tennessee Department of Agriculture's Pick Tennessee program.
Stop by the store for a sample of sauerkraut, some farm fresh eggs or cream top milk and see what's new this week on the grocery shelves! They are also taking suggestions of products that local residents would like to see available at the shop.
Combining traditional techniques with the finest ingredients, Short Mountain Cultures makes a variety of fermented foods including sauerkraut, tempeh, hot sauce, kimchi, kvass, water kefir, kombucha, coconut kefir, and seasonal fermented vegetables. Our products are probiotic, nutrient rich and feature both familiar and unique flavors. We work with local farmers to bring you the freshest, non-GMO and organically grown ingredients.
Come sample our full line of fermented foods and chat with us about your own fermentation exploits. We also carry organic staples from rice and beans to chocolate covered espresso beans. Sit and enjoy a pour-over Velo coffee with a house made ginger molasses cookie or some Olive and Sinclair chocolate. It’s worth the drive, y’all!
