The Arts Center of Cannon County is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.
Our new classroom. Almost there!
The Arts Center is planning for a 600 square foot addition to the facility. It will be specifically outfitted for rehearsals, dance training, summer conservatory, and private lessons.
Having its own entrance, the classroom will have hardwood flooring, a mirrored wall, a dance bar, and be acoustically separate.
The project will cost $100,000. We have raised $85,000 towards that effort. Please consider making a contribution towards this exciting step forward.
We have just $15,000 more to go!
The Endowment for the Arts Center:
$1,000,000 Endowment Goal
The Arts Center has moved quickly to shore up its financial future. Upon completion of the Silver Anniversary Campaign in October 2015 with $630,000 cash and pledges in hand and having an intention of paying of all facility debt and reinvesting $100,000 in the facility, we are now looking toward the future.
An endowment effort is just underway. We need your support. The Arts Center of Cannon County belongs to you, your family, and your friends. The first gift to the Endowment Fund was a $50,000 pledge over 5 years. We are grateful.
What is an endowment?
An endowment is a long term savings/investment account. Funds are invested by professional money managers. 5% of the value of the fund may be disbursed to be used by the Arts Center each year. The fund is held at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.
Why does the Arts Center need one?
The facility is now 18,000 square feet with an enormous roof, 8 furnaces, parking for 110, a fully outfitted commercial kitchen, and of course – 225 seat Wilma Adams Theater. Ticket sales cover ½ the cost of operating the facility. Establishing an endowment and sourcing funds for it will enable the Arts Center to offer programming at affordable prices.
How to help provide for the Arts Center’s future?
Your gift made today, will benefit all future users of the facility as the endowment is a long term planning tool. An estate gift, a future gift described in a will, of marketable securities, real estate, or money will benefit the Arts Center community upon execution of the will.
How do I give to the Endowment?
24/7 our online donation system is available to accept your gift of $10 or more. Alternatively, gifts may be mailed to the Arts Center. If you have questions or ideas about estate or non-cash gifts, please call us to discuss. 615-563-ARTS (2787)
