In 2010, the Arts Center of Cannon County entered into a partnership with Good Earth Energy to implement a 29.40 kWh Solar Panel installation on the southern roof of the Arts Center. The Arts Center rents its roof to Good Earth. Good Earth owns the solar electric system on the roof.

The project was initiated as a public education effort by Good Earth Energy, LLC. Good Earth is a single owner, start up company having a single focus - demonstrating the use of available renewable energy technology. Good Earth was seeking appropriate sites to locate solar installations that also had built-in educational opportunities. Good Earth proposed the project to the Arts Center because of its high visibility location: the south facing roof is in full view of everyone entering Cannon County by way of 70S.
