Something’s coming, something good when The Arts Center of Cannon County produces the Tony Award-winning musical, West Side Story, from July 10th through 25th. With music by the legendary creative team of Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, West Side Story features some of Broadway’s most beloved music including “Somewhere,” “One Hand, One Heart,” “Tonight,” and “Maria”. This classic American musical chronicles the war between two teenage gangs – the Jets and the Sharks whose battle for turf and superiority provides the backdrop for the romance of two young people caught in a violent cross-cultural struggle.
West Side Story’s scheduled production dates are July 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 & 25 at 7:30PM and July 12 & 19 at 2:00PM. Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for students, seniors (65 plus) and groups. West Side Story performances are not included in Arts Center Season Passes. Call to purchase your tickets at 615-563-(ARTS) 2787 or 1-800-235-9073. The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from
