Born in 1900, Bob Douglas became a childhood companion to Curly Fox, he recorded for the victor company with the Allen Brothers in 1928: he toiured with Clayton McMichen and Carl Cotner throught the midwest, he fiddled against Natcheee the Indian, AA Grey and Lowe Stokes and beat them all, he gave the Louving brothers their fist paying job in country music, Arthur Smith, Jimmy McCarroll and Earl Johnson all crossed his path.
